Belmont schools have lost the support of Belmont's taxpayers. They've finally cut the budget too far. Students at the HS can no longer take even 7 classes and some cannot get even 6. Freshman sports ave been eliminated. A recent election to save the school budget that would have cost $288 on a $750K home failed.

While it has good academics BHS does not have in my opinion a good environment. The school is falling apart and the library is severely lacking in books. The non-dedicated students are not low in quantity. On a side note the mod schedule is very confusing.

I think its an ok school. But its not amazing like everyone says it is. I mean the teachers are ok its just like an average high school like any other town.

We moved into the school district for one year as we are a military family. We moved to the Belmont area just for the school. The teachers are wonderful and curriculum is wide ranged and really has so much to offer. Athletic activities are enjoyable as well as other extra curricular activities. My two high school students were welcomed here with open arms by so many it really has made their year here great. The school is easy to walk to for most. Some of the extra curricular activies can add up especially if the school board no longer funds it like ski team lost funding last year and we are paying out of our own pocket but my children love it. This is one of the best school experiences in our travels as a military family.

Belmont High School is an amazing high school. The environment is welcoming and the small number of students makes it even better. Teachers are extremely qualified and eager to help students learn. The actual system is great and helps students get into college without difficulty. The athletics are fun the studying is good and everything is simple. I've seen other schools and out of all of them BHS is top notch. Nothing is wrong with this school. Everything is great and I wish every school could be like it. The location is especially great because it's close by to any house. The traffic in the morning is not bad at all and there are ample parking spaces. If you're choosing a school to attend in Massachusetts Belmont High School is the best one to pick. No danger great activites amazing teachers and disciplined respectful students.
