I have two children that attend Popps Ferry and we have had a wonderful experience. The teachers have done a wonderful job preparing my children for middle school both with curriculum and building confidence. Great leadership positive attitude lots of good energy and very good communication has been our experience. My kids love going to school at Popps Ferry.

We are very happy with the leadership of the staff and the quality of the education at Popps Ferry. The school has a positive learning environment and a fair and consistent behavior program. The staff is kind and compassionate to the children and parents. We are very pleased and looking forward to another great school year.
We have two children currently enrolled at Popp's Ferry and they and we are very happy. We have had attentive teachers who pay attention to the individual children as well as the needs of the class. There is an active PTO with good parental involvement.
Continued from previous post We never had a problem with bullying and although the school is diversified (which is a major plus when it comes to exposing your child to people from all walks of life) everyone was treated with equal respect and all received the same quality education. My son doesn't know color and gets a long with everyone. I love that this school teaches equality. CREATE (gifted) was also a great program. My son loved the one day a week he was able to be creative and not be strapped to a desk all day doing book work. The only thing I was concerned with and I think it was more of a lack of communication between me and his teacher more than anything was the AR reading program. He fell behind but I wasn't made aware until it was too late. Again I believe this was miscommunication not the teacher's fault. In closing I can't say enough good things about this school. They actually care about the individual student and not the state test scores like a lot of schools. I only hope his new school is as great as Popps Ferry.
Hi! I'm Amanda A student that went to Popp's Ferry since kindergarten They don't serve 6th grade anymore They go to Biloxi Junior High school but anyway I love love love LOVED this school! The teachers cared for their students and I learned ALOT! And you almost ALWAYS find 2-5 people who like what you like!
Both of my children got a very fine education there!
Popp's Ferry has a great faculty staff students and community support!!!
The staff is on top of keeping the kids motivated at the same time feeling safe..................
The administration is very tuned in to the staff and students.
The faculty is awesome and they handle & teach the children the way a school should..Very refreshing!!
Some of the greatest brightest kids go there with a loving staff and dedicated parents. (and visa-versa)
It is a very good school and they have a wonderful corriculum. Wonderful teachers they go out of their way to help the children with their learning.
Popps Ferry is a school on the move. It's an older school (1962) but the approach to teaching is fresh. The principal is awesome leader. Our PTO is small but strong.
My son has attended Popp's Ferry Elementary from Kindergarten through 5th grade. This will be his final year as they no longer have grade 6. We have had several administrative changes which I think made it hard on the kids at times especially as the initial administration were so beloved to kids and parents alike however we do have a very good well-organized admin. staff now. Overall I think he has been blessed with wonderful teachers. All of them including those he has for 'specials ' are gifted in their own way. There are a few who made such an impression he will remember them always. I think (though he doesn't realize it now) it will be very sad for him to say goodbye to Popp's Ferry at the end of this school year. I would recommend this school without hesitation to other parents.h
My child just started Popps Ferry after transferring from another coast school district after we moved. I had been having concerns about my child at the other school and without having to say a word my childs teacher at Popps Ferry picked up on them immediately where at the other school I could not get any help. Her teacher has gone out of her way on more then one occation and has been wonderful about communication. The school is great about extra activities with the family and kids which I love (such as the Chili Cook-Off). I have watched my daughter make so much progress since coming to this school in the last couple of months and am so thankful to her teacher for going the extra mile.
popp's ferry elem has been a god send for me. my child has had problems in the past with school in general. popp's ferry's administrator's are consistant open minded & kind. my child is florishing for the first time ever. my child is learning more than ever & excited about it. the staff goes out of their way to keep parents informed & involved. teachers my son hasnt even had yet are even super. i love the principals office staff & this school has the best nurse. ive gone out of my way to stay in this school district because it's that wonderful!
Popp's Ferry is a great school with a wonderful family atmosphere and strong leadership. Discipline is consistent fair and child-centered. The faculty is caring and capable and work hard to teach every child. Parents are strongly encouraged to actively participate in their child's education. Students are challenged to do their best at all times.
I think Popp's Ferry is a top notch school. There are lots of qualified teachers and staff. One of the best!
My two children have both attended Popp's Ferry and I think the quality of education they received there is exceptional.
My son is from a foreign country and is naturally introverted. Within a week he came out of his shell and actually loves going to school. His English skills have improved dramatically.
