Community ratings & reviews

I have worked extensively with this school and its students. It has a 99+ per cent graduation rate and a 99+ per cent college acceptance rate. The students I have worked with (at the Birmingham Pledge Teen Leadership summer program) have been consistently outstanding. These are not cherry-picked students -- most come from low-income neighborhoods and over 90 per cent are African-American. Something the school is doing is working.
