I have a son that has attended Blackshear Elementary School since Kindergarten and I have absolutely no complaints about the school or the teachers. I have been a very involved parent with his education and volunteering with many activities. I have found caring concerned dedicated nurturing accomplished teachers and staff. They actually listen and care about each child's well-being and work closely to make sure that each student comes away from their experiences at BES ready for their next stage of education and also have memories that will give them a lifetime of social skills that they will always be grateful for.

My son has been attending BES since kindergarten and he loves it! He is learning so much and is excited about going to school everyday!

The faculty and staff are exceptional! Teachers go 'the extra mile' for students and it is apparent in student learning as well as the environment of the school itself.

I think that the principal needs to be more involved with the parents concerns and be more one on one with them.

This would be a top notch school if more parents would get involved with the education of their children. I would also like for the teachers to take parents concerns especially if a parent feels there is a learning disability that could be causing problems not just reassure that everything will be fine. When I believe the earlier you find these things out the better chance you have at helping this child before it's too late.
