Agents: How to Advertise on Zillow.com
We’ve talked a lot about our advertising model, but to date the kind of advertising for sale on Zillow.com pretty much consisted of banner ads suited to a large brokerage or company.
We are happy to announce that this will soon change. Today at Real Estate Connect NY, Zillow president Lloyd Frink talked about a new advertising product coming during the first quarter of this year, one that allows agents and other real individual estate professionals to buy inexpensive, targeted advertising on the site.
We’re calling it EZ Ads – and it’s pretty simple – an easy, online way for individual agents and other real estate professionals to buy and customize ads on Zillow.com, targeted to specific searched ZIP codes. The ads show up on ZIP code-specific areas throughout the site, including map pages and home detail pages.
With millions of people visiting Zillow each month, most being homeowners (86% of Zillow users own a home) plus buyers and sellers (54% plan to buy/sell in the near future), EZ Ads will be a lot more targeted than a flyer or traditional offline advertising. And we think you will find pricing a lot more affordable, too. When creating your ads, you can choose the ZIP code, what your ads will look like and where your ads will link to.
We’re aiming to roll out EZ Ads by the end of March; if you’d like to be the first to hear when EZ Ads launch, you can register and sign up for email alerts.
And, don’t forget, it’s FREE to post homes for sale on Zillow any time, and link back to your home page, your MLS listing, virtual tour or other homes you represent. EZ Ads are simply another way for you to gain exposure to Zillow’s audience of owners, buyers and sellers.
