Zillow.com, As Used by Incredible Realtors
The most incredible Realtor I’ve worked with (on a transaction), found me a deal where there was none to be had.
About a year ago, I wanted some land in a particular vacation home development near Glacier, WA, and was in a hurry to buy; the development seemed undervalued due to (valid) concerns over a pending flood zone study. My problem was there were no suitable properties listed for sale. So, my Realtor recommended we focus on lots in a particular section of the development and then pro-actively contacted most of those owners with news of our cash offer. Three weeks later, an offer was accepted. Three months later, the flood zone study was published — our lot is in the 25% of the development that is not in the 100-year flood zone. That day, I came to the realization that some of the best investments in real estate may not be listed.
If Zillow.com had been around at the time, my incredible Realtor could have found that deal the way Kristin Meador seems to be helping buyers in Eugene, OR — by contacting Make Me Move sellers to find the perfect house even though it may not currently be listed for sale. This post was prompted by reading the conversation below in Home Q&A between Kristin and an owner who has posted a Make Me Move price on their home. (Note: If you do click Kristin’s profile, be sure to click "See all" (Q&As) to see how active she has been — incredible!)
