True confession—I’m a dreamer. I fantasize about everything from my post-college dream job, to the names and birth order of my hypothetical children… even what I want to eat for dinner! My subconscious pipe dreams have escalated to a new level during my summer internship at Zillow. Many a day while browsing the site I stumble across a fabulous home for sale. Within seconds I’ve crafted an elaborate storyboard about the home, its current residents, and what my life would look like if I l was lucky enough to live there.
For you lateral thinkers not tracking with my abstract mind game, here’s how an average thought progresses: One quick click on the #1 home in Cottonwood, AZ and I’m sporting a 2 piece velour sweatsuit, power-walking the neighborhood with the girls. An innocent glance at the Bothell, WA listing and suddenly I’m an expert gardener with prize winning dahlias. Fast forward 20 years and I’m living in Los Angeles, CA hosting a TGIF movie marathon for the neighborhood crew in my deluxe media room.
It’s a dangerous cycle!
