Top Viewed For Sale Postings

This week’s lineup of top-viewed homes on Zillow were as disparate and unique as their locations; there was not a common thread among them and they all had their own individual looks. Which got me thinking about the architectural style of a home, and how this comes into play when deciding whether or not to make a purchase. What if you love everything about the home — the flow, the backyard, the number of bedrooms — yet it isn’t in the style that you always imagined? Is this something the average homeowner can get over, or is it a deal breaker? I would like to think the inside of a home will be the key factor when it comes time for me to pull the trigger, but who knows?

What if you only want to live in a Craftsman? Do you miss out on what could potentially be your perfect home? Or perhaps you refuse to look at any home with brick — do you eliminate your dream home before you even see it? Our top-viewed homes have a little bit for everyone: There’s a gorgeous Spanish Revival in Peoria, AZ (Hey! That’s where the Seattle Mariners have their spring training camp!), an almost-new contemporary in Frazier Park, CA, a modern, cathedral-ceilinged original in Palo Alto, CA , a corner-unit condo in Margate, FL, and a lovely restored Craftsman in the Madrona neighborhood of Seattle.

What does your home say about you?
