Obama’s Chicago House is his ‘Kennebunkport’

Now that President-elect Barack Obama and his family will have a new address in Washington, DC, what becomes of Obama’s house in Chicago?  According to the Washington Post, “My Kennebunkport is on the South Side of Chicago,” says Obama, referring to his home at 5046 S Greenwood Ave, Chicago.

Obama plans on returning to his South Side Chicago home every six weeks or so to visit with friends and family.

There won’t be brush to clear, as President Bush enjoyed doing on his Crawford, TX ranch, but from the looks of the photo, Obama will need to clear reporters and secret service agents from the front of his house. Shoo! Shoo!

And, as far as friends are concerned, Obama will likely steer clear of visiting Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich at his house in the Albany Park neighborhood of Chicago. Blagojevich was recently charged with trying to sell Obama’s vacated Senate seat.
