Octuplet Mom Facing Foreclosure–and Shopping For New $1.24M Home

Nadya Suleman (“Octo-Mom”) may soon be out on the streets with her 14 kids. According to TMZ and Reuters, the home she is currently sharing with her mother could go on the auction block because the mortgage hasn’t been paid in 10 months.

Angela Suleman (“Octo-Grandma”) owns the home, located at 13604 Sunrise Dr, Whittier, CA 90602 (source) but hasn’t made any payments since May 2008 — she’s behind $23,224.98.

nadya Nadya, 33, has been making headlines and raising eyebrows since the birth of her octuplets (conceived through in vitro fertilization) on January 26. During an interview with the Today show, Nayda admitted that she is currently jobless, living on food stamps, and collecting disability checks. But, she intends to use student loans “temporarily” to pay for her family’s care.

The latest scene in this emerging drama is the rumor that Octo-Mom is house hunting for a $1.24 million home in Whittier, CA. How’s she going to foot that bill? Her church has expressed a desire to help out, but there is no confirmation that this is the home they’ve selected.

How can anyone bring eight children into the world when you can barely feed the six you already have and you’re about to lose your home and don’t have a job. That makes no sense. To me Nadya is trying to milk the system and is a publicity hound. She’s trying to make money off of her children. She should give up some of her children for adoption so they can have a better life.

She is just not mentally stable. I feel bad for her children. The older children will have no childhood. All they will be doing is taking care of the younger children. She can not possibly give all of them even a minimum of the attention that chidlren need. They will gorw up not only with limited finances (which is not the worst part), but with limited attention and love (which is horrible!), constantly having responsibilites of taking care of each other!

I agree, seems to me its just not the system that she is milking. What about her parents? The very idea of her looking at a house like that when the reason that her parents house is looking at foreclosure is because her parents have been taking care of her and the first 6 kids. My guess is that she doesn’t let them move with her… then again maybe she will so that they can be her slaves. She has seen all those shows glorifying multiple births and decided to cash in. I hope that she doesn’t get
the house served to her on a silver platter, Lets hope that Ophara doesn’t see this and decide to
hand it over to her… geez..

Are you kidding me? This woman is rich thanks to all of us who read this trash. She is selling her photo’s and interviews for bug $$$. If you don’t want to support this behavior don’t tune in. The only thing I am grateful for is that she is bringing a public issue to light. There are plenty of her in your community, they just don’t get the press. We have set up a society that supports this type of behavior, and we will all pay the price for it.

What I can’t understand is how this crazy woman convinced the doctor to give her in vitro fertilization in the first place. She had six kids, for crying out loud, did the doctor actually think she was infertile? And who paid for that procedure, and the hospital bills? No wonder their broke! Now she’s going to convince her church to buy her a $1.24 million home? All I can say is….WOW!!!

I want to thank all the irresponsible politicians who allow stuff like this to go on. We keep handing out free rides to anyone who can fill out a form. When will everyone wake up and roll back the clock to when people had morals and scruples.In the depression years the only people getting hand outs were those unemployed and needy, not people getting impregnated and not 10 months behind on mortages.I’m so tired of people not being responsible and using common sense.

It’s the children who are the ones who suffer because a young woman who’s obviously unstable, wants fame and fortune.
People have to start taking responsibility for their poor choices. This is extremely sad and a number of these children are going to be plagued with severe medical conditions which will affect them for the rest of their lives. Not to mention everyone out there who makes a honest living will now have to foot the enormous bill.

This is one of the many downsides of the Christian religion and other religions as well, encouraging us to follow the bible dictate: “Go forth and multiply.” The carrying capacity of our planet to sustain 6 plus billion human beings is proving to be very problematic. Global warming, biodiversity and the continuous destruction of the world’s rain forests (the lungs of the planet) and wildlife habitat are not biblically mandated. Hence, they are not important.

I remember when this story first broke that there was a crazy old man who said “This isn’t Nadya’s real home. She lives some place else and you guys will never find it. You can try, but you will never find it.” I wonder if that crazy old man was Nadya’s dad. Her mom was interviewed and she seemed like a normal person. I feel sorry for Angela. She married a “disabled” man and had a kid with mental disabilities. How else to explain Nadya’s reson to have so many kids…”I want to have as many kids as I can. I feel it would be a waste if I don’t use up all those eggs.”

She is acting just like most people did with real estate. Biting off more than the can chew. Now all us responsible people are going to pay the price. If anyone should get help from the government, is the one that are being responsible. Hopefully she gets what she desivers, and the kids well put them in the system with the reast. this women actually has ppl out there who feels sorry for her and many americans, but let me the first to say she needs to have her kids taken from her and she needs to be locked in a mental institute and evualted but let us not forget about these doctors who honestly implanted the embroys and need to have the state medical board reveulate his license and ethical practice of medicine just because these were her embroys dosent mean they could have implanted those in her they need to come up with a plan a women who donates her embroyos can actually sell them to others who cant have kids for couples like myself and my wife it make me sick that ppl are so imature like this women and i pray the cps come in and intervene.

How we are treating this women and her children is barbaric. I have NO idea why she chose to do this but honestly, look at the reality shows now with couples making money off of their multiple births! I think that people saying that she is an example of people milking the system are quite delusional as the current economic situation has millions of working individuals on food stamps and public health care. I highly doubt many people want to have eight babies or do what she is doing…move on and leave those innocent kids ALONE! Also, if she wants to look any certain way…who cares.

I don’t beleive for one min. that this lady is going to lose her home. She is going to be rich and her children will probably have all their needs and schooling paid for. Between the movie deals, book, and pictures, interviews, she wont have any worries as far as money goes. I really don’t think this lady worries about anything. She has so many children there is no way she can do it alone, not only will she receive the perks of being a celebrity but will have other people raising her children as well. She is not as dumb, just selfish.

how could you have 8 more kids when you cant take care of the 6 you already have. how can you have 6 kids when you cant take care of youself?

oh yeah. she couldn’t take care of herself, so she needed 6 kids and government help. and then she couldnt take care of herself AND those 6 kids, so she had 8 more to be on headlines.
