New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin Facing Foreclosure on Frisco, TX Townhouse
DallasDirt uncovered some interesting news about New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin and his wife: it looks like they own a townhouse in Frisco, TX, and they have not paid their home association fees of around $1,500, which means if they don’t pay up, the property will be auctioned off April 7.
According to CBS 11 News, the Nagins bought the home two years ago as a getaway and possible evacuation house (Nagin came into the national spotlight during national coverage of Hurricane Katrina, which devastated the city of New Orleans). CBS reports they are trying to sell off the townhouse to pay off debts.
Non-sequitur: DallasDirt has a category in its blog called “I hate homeowner associations.” After dealing with an HOA for a couple of properties, I hate them, too. Candy: More posts on idiotic things HOAs do!
