Mel and Robyn Gibson have joined the ranks of home buyers desperate for a seller to come a knockin’. With news of their impending divorce making headlines, the couple is more motivated than ever to unload their Old Mill Farm estate, located at 124 Old Mill Rd, Greenwich, CT 06831.
Priced at a cool $35 million, Zillow first reported the Gibson property for sale back in September 2008 and it looks like its still on the market. While the 1926 Tudor is undeniably exquisite with 15,000+ sq ft, 15 bedrooms, and pool, stable, staff houses, etc. the Gibson’s have had little luck attracting buyers over the past 1 1/2 years.
According to Zillow Mortgage Marketplace, the monthly mortgage payment for a 30-year, fixed-rate mortgage of 5.03% (today’s rates) with 20 percent down is over $150,000 — not exactly mainstream affordable. Perhaps a price reduction is in their future?
Worth an estimated $1 billion with no prenuptial agreement, the Gibson divorce is rumored to be one of the most expensive in Hollywood history.
