Bosworth’s House and Site of The O.C. on Market for $8,995,000

The Malibu home of former NFL player Brian Bosworth (“The Boz”), located at 6375 Meadows Ct, Malibu, CA 90265, is on the market for $8,995,000. And, if the home looks vaguely familiar, it’s because portions of The O.C. were filmed there — basically a soap opera for teens.  Evidently, the home was used when Caleb Nichol surprised Julie with the house as a gift. Another O.C. episode showed it as the site of an out-of-control teen party. In the O.C. series, the home was eventually lost to foreclosure.

OK, back to reality. Bosworth had an outspoken and blistering college career with the Oklahoma Sooners and was then drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in 1987 to a 10-year, $11 million deal, which was the largest rookie deal ever — at the time. However, he only played three seasons, retiring due to a shoulder injury. Sports Illustrated named him one of the Top Draft Busts of the Modern Era.

Interestingly, Bosworth took up real estate at one point, working for Sotheby’s International and partnering with agent Cathy Bindley, although we couldn’t find any active listings or information on him in relation to Sotheby’s or real estate. According to Switzer Talent Agency, Bosworth is an actor and is available as a speaker. This past March, USA Today reported that Bosworth was arrested for DUI.
