Hollywood Crew Trashes Seattle Homeowner’s Home

Homeowner beware: If a Hollywood producer comes knocking on your door, asking to use your home for a movie, make sure you know the consequences.

An out-of-work Seattle architect, Daphne Tomchak, agreed to let a Hollywood film crew use her home for a movie called “The Details” in which she would be paid $13,00 upfront for her troubles and was promised her home would be returned to its original state. So, she moved her furniture into the basement and made arrangements to stay at a friend’s house.

After three days of filming, the financing for the movie fell through. When Tomchak returned to her home, she discovered the movie crew trashed her home with “…rugs torn up, walls ripped down, electricity cut, trees chopped, and nobody taking responsibility,” according to King5.com.
