Karl Rove, former Deputy Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor to President George W. Bush,  is joining the ranks of another high-profile Republican by seeking greener pastures and a simpler life in Texas.

Like his friend, W, Rove has decided to return to Texas and has put his Washington D.C. home, located at 4925 Weaver Ter NW, Washington  DC,  20016, on the market for $1,585,000. He purchased it in 2001 for $799,000. Rove’s Federal-style home was built in 1968 and is a spacious 4,529 square feet with 5 bedrooms and 4.5 baths.

According to the Reliable Source, Rove and his wife, Darby, built a beach house in Florida a few years ago, but an aide says he’ll be moving to Texas, where he attended college and got his political footing.
