Country Music Great Alan Jackson’s Home Listed for $38 Million
Alan Jackson, American country music icon, has put his Franklin, TN colonial mansion located at 1301 Moran Rd, Franklin, TN 37069 on the market for a whopping $38 million. The property, know to insiders as Sweetbriar, sits on 135-acres with six bedrooms, seven full baths, five fireplaces, a 20-car garage and a gymnasium. As if that wasn’t enough, the property also includes a stocked lake with a boat house, three ponds, a 20-car garage, separate gym, and a two-bedroom log cabin. The property is bordered on two sides by the Harpeth River.
Jackson resided at Sweetbriar for over 16 years with his high school sweetheart, Denise, and their three daughters; Mattie, Alexandra Jane, and Dani Grace. According to Alan, the home is a very special place to the family.
“We love it here, and there are a lot of memories because the girls have grown up at this house,” he says. “But we like living in Florida, and we probably will do that when the girls are not living with us anymore, so it makes sense to sell it if we’re not gonna live in Nashville that much anymore.”
With a listing price of $38,000,000, the property is over 100 times the median list price for homes in Franklin, TN ($339,900). Needless to say, the mansion is the highest priced residential property for sale in the greater Nashville area. See Jackson’s listing.
