After Weeks on the Rise, Mortgage Rates Decline

Mortgage rates for 30-year fixed mortgages fell this week, with the weekly average rate borrowers quoted on Zillow Mortgage Marketplace at 4.99%, down from 5.05% the week prior. Additionally, 15-year fixed borrowers were quoted on average, 4.41% and for 5/1 ARMs, 4.06%.

This morning, the national rate for 30-year fixed purchase mortgages had fallen to 4.9o%.
