What’s That Striped Thing?

In our post last week about Sandra Bullock and Jesse James selling their Sunset Beach, CA house, there was a comment asking “What’s that striped thing?” in reference to a big, striped “thing” wrapped around a building just two doors away from the Bullock-James residence. Of course, some humorous responses ensued and then the answer came: it’s a termite tent.

Here’s a great article about termite tenting by a California real estate company, which revealed that many areas of the country have recurring issues with termites and that whole-house tenting is a very effective solution.
