Former Real Housewives of Atlanta’s DeShawn Snow Selling Home
Leaving a reality show behind means leaving the drama behind, right? Unfortunately that is not the case for former Atlanta Real Housewife DeShawn Snow, who was booted from the cast of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta after the first season in the fall of 2008.
According to Real Estalker, DeShawn’s soon-to-be ex-husband, retired NBA player, Eric Snow, filed divorce papers in early spring 2010 amid rumors of having an adulterous baby on the way. As an end to their 12 years of marriage ensues, so begins the vacant life of the Snow’s resort-esque mansion in Alpharetta, GA with an asking price of a whopping $4,998,000.
Public records show that the Snow’s purchased 4.65 acres of blank canvas behind the gates of The Manor Golf and Country Club for $395,500 in October of 2005. The once-happy couple proceeded to build their dream home and left no amenity unaccounted for. The 6-bedroom, 9-bathroom estate (6 full and 6 half baths to be exact) was completed in 2008 and stretches over 10,000 sq ft and includes a custom gourmet kitchen with breakfast bar, two separate offices, gigantic master suite with his/her vanities and spa-like master bath, large bedrooms with in-suite bathrooms, seven fireplaces and a state-of-the-art whole-house music, video and security system. There is a gorgeous terrace with full bar that overlooks the backyard which features a sports court, meticulously landscaped grounds and an infinity edge pool that spills over to a lower pool and terrace with built-in fire pit.
The lower level of this castle includes a billiards room, card room, wine cellar, full bar, family room, dry sauna, exercise room and an on-site salon.
Despite the unhappy ending, a salute goes to Mr. and ex-Mrs. Snow for a home design that displays the epitome of luxury and convenience and will undoubtedly be a dream come true for any future owner.
