Miranda Kerr Lists New York Apartment for $1,395,000
Celebrities, just like many of us, associate major life events (marriage, birth of a child) with the need to buy or sell a home. The latest celebrity to illustrate this trend is Miranda Kerr. After dating for nearly three years, the 27-year-old Australian supermodel married heartthrob Orlando Bloom in an intimate ceremony in July 2010. Last Thursday, Jan. 6, the couple welcomed their first son.
Although the newlyweds-turned-first-time parents can’t decide on a baby name, they have decided to unload Kerr’s former single-lady pad in New York. The stylish one-bedroom condo in the Jade Building in the Flatiron District was listed for $1.395 million back in November. The corner unit has floor-to-ceiling windows and two Juliet balconies.
According to the Wall Street Journal:
“Ms. Kerr’s loft-style condo — like most of the 57 apartments in the building — includes a central pod, a glossy free-standing cube in the center of the apartment that contains an efficiency kitchen and bathroom…Although the Jade has a handful of family-size apartments, most are one-bedrooms and studios and were initially marketed for buyers in their 20s and 30s, brokers said.”
Bloom and Kerr currently reside in Los Angeles in Bloom’s Hollywood Hills property, but it looks like they are scoping out a new home since the actor recently listed the property for lease for $18,000 per month.
