30-Year Fixed Mortgage Rate Increases Slightly Over Past Week

Mortgage rates for 30-year fixed mortgages rose this week, with the current rate borrowers were quoted on Zillow Mortgage Marketplace at 4.62 percent, up from 4.58 percent at this same time last week.

The 30-year fixed mortgage rate peaked at 4.66 on Wednesday then declined to 4.54 percent and hovered near 4.56 percent over the weekend before rising to the current rate.

Additionally, the 15-year fixed mortgage rate on Tuesday morning was 3.94 percent and for 5/1 ARMs, the rate was 3.15 percent.
