Ex-NBA’er Scottie Pippen and Real Housewives’ Larsa Pippen Selling Ft. Lauderdale Home
This post has a little something for everyone: sports fans and TV hounds who enjoy the antics of The Real Housewives series.
Former Chicago Bulls forward Scottie Pippen, who played Robin to Michael Jordan’s Batman during the Bulls’ glory days, and his wife, Larsa, are selling their Ft. Lauderdale mansion for $16 million, according to The Real Estalker.
Scottie and Larsa Pippens’ home is a huge Mediterranean-style mansion on a double lot along the Intracoastal Waterway in the Harbor Beach neighborhood of Ft. Lauderdale. It has 13,500 sq ft of living space, including 6 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms. According to Zillow’s Price History chart, the Pippens bought the home in October 2000 for $1,340,000. The slide in home values for Ft. Lauderdale real estate has been slowing down as Zillow’s Real Estate Market Reports show a month-over-month decline of 1.5 percent compared to a 4.3 percent decline quarter-over-quarter.
After Pippen’s long and productive NBA career (1987–2004) in which he collected six NBA Championship rings and appeared in seven NBA All-Star games, Pippen retired and went on to create some different kinds of headlines — those of poor business deals that nearly sapped him of his $120 million in earnings. One such deal involved his purchase of a $4 million Gulfstream II jet that immediately required $1 million in repairs. Pippen sued his lawyer and won $2 million for the missed inspection.
Meanwhile, Larsa who was “… known as the “Hottest NBA wife, ” made her debut on the Real Housewives of Miami series that kicked off earlier this week. The show received less-than-flattering reviews. Seems the critics were expecting a bit more heat coming from Miami. But if you’re a fan of the Real Housewives, we’re sure the series will kick it up a notch or two by next week. Stay tuned!
