Designer Christian Audigier Selling Los Angeles Home – Rolls-Royce Included
Known for his work with Von Dutch and starting the successful label Ed Hardy, French fashion designer Christian Audigier pairs his eye for fashion with a flair for interior design. This fun (and not overly surprising) fact comes from looking inside Audigier’s chic, 7-bedroom abode, which recently hit the Los Angeles real estate market for $8,265,000.
Listing details for Audigier’s fully gated estate note the 8,276-sq ft property was “exquisitely decorated and remodeled by a top designer…” Hmm. I wonder who? The glamorous corner lot is located in the Hancock Park neighborhood of Mid Wilshire (a.k.a. Midtown) – an area west of Los Angeles, bordering Beverly Hills. Also featured in the 7-bedroom main house are 7 bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen, large rooms for entertaining, and a resort-style outdoor entertaining area with a custom-sized pool, dual cabanas, hotel bar, and grilling kitchen.
The 7-digit asking price of this “tropical oasis” also includes a separate guesthouse and a Rolls-Royce Phantom 5. While the year of the luxury sedan isn’t disclosed in the listing information, a little digging unveiled that the Rolls-Royce Phantom 5 was made from 1959 to 1968 and and is part of the “Phantom family” that includes nine models, three of which are still being produced. It was hard to nail down an average price for the Phantom 5, but given vehicles that are currently for sale, it can sell anywhere from $40,000 to $185,000. What will a new Rolls-Royce Phantom cost you? According to car research site Trovit.com, as of June 2011 the average price of a Rolls-Royce Phantom is $234,112.
