Posting to Craigslist Just Got Easier!
Zillow has just launched another free tool for real estate agents, sellers, property managers, and landlords to gain more exposure for their listings. Starting today, you can now post for-sale or for-rent listings from Zillow to Craigslist in three easy steps. This is a huge advantage because not only does your listing show up on Zillow (and Yahoo! Real Estate), but with a few clicks, you also have the option of easily posting it on Craigslist, too, for free, (except for apartment rentals in New York City).
How to Post to Craigslist From a Listing on Zillow:
1) First, go to the listing page on Zillow. Under the photos, mouse over the Edit button and select Post to Craigslist.
2) A screen will appear with the Craigslist code. If you don’t already have a Craigslist posting page open (where you’ve selected the city and category in which you’d like the ad to appear) you can click the Go To Posting Area link provided. Then simply copy and paste the code generated (see screen shot below).
3) Once you go through the posting process on Craigslist, an ad will be created with all of your property information, with links to your photos, and contact information (see screen shot below):
And you’re done!
You can also find Post to Craigslist embed links in the My Listings section of your My Zillow page:
I know how much exposure Craigslist offers real estate agents, landlords, and property managers for the properties you represent, so I hope this new functionality helps make the process of getting your properties on Craigslist that much easier!
