30-Year Fixed Mortgage Rate Rises Slightly After Falling to All-Time Low Late Last Week

Mortgage rates for 30-year fixed mortgages rose this week, with the current rate borrowers were quoted on Zillow Mortgage Marketplace at 3.86 percent, up four basis points from last Thursday’s record low of 3.82 percent , but down eight basis points from this same time last week.

The 30-year fixed mortgage rate dropped to 3.76 percent last Friday, then hovered between 3.8 percent and 3.97 percent for the remainder of the week. The rate returned to 3.8 percent before rising to the current rate early this morning.

Additionally, the 15-year fixed mortgage rate this morning was 3.16 percent and for 5/1 ARMs, the rate was 2.73 percent.
