Back to Basics: Saved Search Emails

Want to make your hunt for a home a little easier? Sign up for a Zillow Saved Search email so you can get daily updates on homes that interest you once they hit the real estate market.

There are two ways to get home notifications sent straight to your inbox:

General Home Search:

Go to the search and maps page on Zillow and type in the city and state, or ZIP code of your desired search. In the example above, we’re searching for homes for sale in Houston between $200,000 to $250,000. We narrowed the search to single-family homes and listings that have photos.

Once you have the search you want, click “Save” at the bottom left of the screen (yellow highlight). You will then need to enter your email address (below), so the Saved Search results can be sent to you! That’s it — you’re done! Now, just sit back and wait for your email alerts to come to you.

Similar Homes Search:

You can also sign up for an email alert that will search for homes similar to a specific property listing.

In this case, we found a Houston home for sale that also has a Zillow Special Offer on it. It is priced at $220,000. We want to find similar homes for sale in this area at this similar price. Select the box “New listings similar to this home,” enter your email address and click “Submit” and you will receive similar properties for sale. You can also choose to get a Home Report (includes Zestimate® values and nearby sales) for this home and a Property Alert (price and status changes for this home). That’s it!
