Matthew Modine Wants to Sell You His NYC Loft
Matthew Modine has always had a wry sense of humor and good-guy persona, even for a guy who starred in movies like “Full Metal Jacket” and “The Dark Knight Rises.” So it comes as no surprise that in addition to listing his nifty New York City loft apartment for sale, he also allowed his real estate agent to have a little fun with the listing.
Hence, there’s a fun promotional video to go along with Modine’s $2.29 million apartment for sale at 420 W 25th St, New York, NY 10001. The video was produced by listing agent Mark Friedman of Halstead Properties and includes a voice-over by Modine, who describes the many big selling points of the 1,668-square-foot apartment.
For instance, Modine loves that the Chelsea real estate market pad he purchased back in 2008 sits steps away from the High Line, one of the greatest parks in all of New York City. The elevated park runs up the west side of lower Manhattan and provides access to amazing views and urban happenings at some of the most vibrant galleries and eateries.
Modine’s duplex comes with a list of amenities, including generous outdoor garden space and a roof-top deck. Courtesy of our friends at NY Curbed, here is a post that includes the movie-star starring video.
In the four years since Modine has owned the property, he and his wife have done some upgrades, including new ash hardwood flooring and a custom-made Italian glass kitchen by Schiffini. The 1-bedroom, 2.5-bath has a lower-level rec room that Modine said had been used by his daughter.
The actor may be moving on, but he seems to have a real fondness for the place he called his NYC home for the past four years.
