Maggie Q Sells Studio City Stunner for Rustic Mill House
Bicoastal living isn’t uncommon for celebs hopping from Hollywood movie sets to beachfront getaways in The Hamptons. But it isn’t every day that an actress and former fashion model sells her contemporary home for a secluded house in the woods.
Celebuzz first revealed Maggie Quigley, better known as Maggie Q, has purchased Aaron Wood’s Mill, pictured above, for $1.23 million. The historic landmark was built in 1860 and has since been renovated, but aged barn wood, hand-hewn beams, wide-board floors, a stone fireplace and vintage windows remain. Perched above a creek in Pound Ridge, NY, the home’s idyllic location also looks untouched, while the kitchen and bathroom have been updated with top-of-the-line appliances and fixtures.
Quigley bought the home in Pound Ridge while closing the deal on her home at 12979 Blairwood Dr, Studio City, CA 91604 for $2.1 million. The property, pictured below, is what you’d expect for the “Nikita” star and Tom Cruise’s co-star in “Mission: Impossible III,” with a pool, canyon views, spacious master suite, gym, sauna and other celeb-worthy amenities. But after eight years, Quigley is giving it all up for some scenic East Coast living.
With her film and TV acting career underway, she’ll likely pick up another L.A. home, but for now Quigley is Pound Ridge-bound.
