I am amazed. Look at the prices of these properties. I come from the Southern CA area. In the Los Angeles county area alone that 6 bedroom house, especially in West Los Angeles goes for close to a million dollars, if not more. The prices of property there are insane, but hey, Its LA!

I know for sure that in areas like Carolina, Arizona, Maryland, Florida, Georgia and a few other places, there are a lot of foreclosed properties and only about 20% of such properties reenter the market. Hence prices are very depressed in such areas. Is this also the reason for the low value of the properties listed above? If not, I am intrigued by the size-value mismatch.

There is a 7 bedroom a couple blocks for me going for 114 Million. But hey, it’s NYC.

I feel you Gerald. A 3bd 2bth home in Southern Cal will cost you $500k and that’s in a bad neighborhood.

I think I’d die of shock if I looked at real estate in LA. In Indiana I have a four bed, 2 bath on .6 acres of riverfront suburban property for 120K!

Affordable homes vary in price according to neighborhood. In some neighborhoods, an affordable home costs $500,000 or more. In others, an affordable home is $150,000 or less. It just depends on the market in your area. Only you can determine what is affordable for you.

Some of them are even below 400K. but who needs 6 bedrooms?
