Alabama’s Jordan Family Gets an Extreme Home Makeover Tonight
By: Diane Tuman, Zillow Content Manager | April 26, 2009
Tonight’s edition of ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition will feature the plight of the Jordan Family of Montgomery, AL and the makeover the family received for their home at 5336 Ira Lane, Montgomery, AL 36108. While the makeover was done in seven days this past February, the show provides “the big reveal” tonight. Host Ty Pennington will shout, “Move that Bus!” to reveal the re-do for the Jordans.
According to WSFA 12 News, the Jordans have a heartbreaking story. Monica and Brady Jordan lost two children in the past 14 years: their daughter to domestic violence in 1995 and then their son was killed by a drunk driver in 2003. Despite these tragedies, Monica and Brady Jordan have chosen to give back to the community. They are deeply committed to the Mothers Against Drunk Driving program (MADD) and hold meetings in their home and they open their home to area youngsters who need a safe place to hang out — all of this while raising their daughter as well as their three grandchildren.
In the process of taking care of people, their home has taken a toll. Tonight, see how Extreme Home Makeover host Ty Pennington and company have transformed the Jordan home into a safe haven for the community.

I have actually seen this house and it is nice, but it seems out of place on the block now. But still nice.
