American Idol’s Fantasia Facing Foreclosure

Media sites and bloggers were buzzing yesterday with word that Season 3’s American Idol winner, Fantasia Barrino, is facing foreclosure on her home at 5500 Bevington Pl, Charlotte, NC 28277. Word on the street is that the home will be auctioned off to the highest bidder for cash unless some last-minute agreement comes through.
Zillow’s Zestimate for the home is $1.3 million and it is located in the Rain Tree neighborhood of Charlotte where the Zillow Home Value Index is $300,500 (at this writing).

Foreclosure knows no boundary and takes no prisoners. All this story illustrates is the sad reality that most Americans were living beyond their means or personal income. There is no one really recession proof or can escape this economic down turn. Spending by consumers has kept this economy going for years, but it now time to deal with the reality.
This story of a known star facing such reality will only get greater. Bear it mine it not what is happening to you but how will you react such things as home foreclosure of unemployment. What can a person do if they are facing foreclosure? In her case it sound like she owns more than two homes so it would make scene to just sell one and hold on to the other. Short sale comes to mind here.
Based on the picture in your story it does look very excellent property in good location. The market could me there for her based on her celebrity some buyers would love a house who was own by a famous person. Therefore, prepare to sell early in the process a key factor. Negotiation at this time with her lender could work has well. What about as a singer she produce a number one record tapping into her talent..

This was not a “star,” which is why the house is going back to the bank.
First make money, then buy the big house — not vice versa.
Banks don’t want promises of hit records, they want money.
