By: Diane Tuman, Zillow Content Manager | November 24, 2008
Over the weekend, TMZ reported that multi-talented star Wyclef Jean is the latest celebrity to undergo foreclosure. According to Page2Live.com, Wyclef was having his Miami Beach canal-front home rebuilt, but he ran out of money before it was completed, as you can see by the photo above at 5801 Pine Tree Drive, Miami Beach, FL. The home will be auctioned Dec. 12 in Miami.

I can never understand how rock stars and rappers (millionaires) can run out of money, foreclose, go broke. It’s insane!

Just another example of how people feel the need to live excessively beyond their means. Who the hell needs a multi-million dollar house?

No one NEEDS a multi-million dollar house. But if you can afford one, why not get it? Wyclef obviously couldn’t afford it and therefore shouldn’t have gotten it. I’m a big believer in spending the money that you earn. If you work hard and end up making millions, well you should damn well live like you have millions of dollars. People get upset when someone who DOESN’T have millions of dollars tries to pretend like they do and buy expensive stuff and go into debt…..so shouldn’t it be the same if you DO have millions of dollars and live like you don’t?
