Although the bulk of Barry Bonds’ career was with the San Francisco Giants, Bonds’ home base was in Los Angeles, where he owns an enormous Mediterranean-style estate in luxe Beverly Park.

Bonds has listed the home for $25 million. The pocket listing is held by Mauricio Umansky, co-founder and agent at high-end brokerage The Agency.

The home, like Bonds, is larger than life. Dripping with high-end features, the finishings on the home are both luxurious and ornate.

Measuring 17,100 square feet, the home sits within the private and gated community of Beverly Park. The property has a guesthouse and pool with a spa and accompanying cabana. Extensive patio space holds an outdoor kitchen as well as numerous lounging areas.

Inside, the home opens to high ceilings — some measuring up to 30 feet tall — travertine tile work and hand-painted murals. The home features a gourmet kitchen, home theater, office with leather wall upholstery and an in-house spa that includes a tanning salon, steam/sauna, hydrotherapy Jacuzzi tub and Swedish full-body therapy rooms. All of the home, and the outbuildings, are controllable by iPad. The high-end furnishings are included in the home.

Considered to be one of the greatest baseball players of all time, Bonds has led a bit of a controversial career. He was recently denied entry to the Baseball Hall of Fame during his first year of eligibility.
