Screen star and heart-throb Leonardo DiCaprio has had it with the paparazzi and the attention he attracts and is selling his Malibu home, according to LA Times’ Ann Brenoff. Real Estalker reports that Leo purchased the home in January of 2007 for $6,350,000. Click on the photo above and check out the number of stairs down to the beach. That’s one heck of a stair climb! Surely Leo doesn’t risk forgetting his sunblock once he heads down that long set ‘o stairs to the beach.
Update (12/08) – Oopsie. I made a dumbass, knucklehead mistake by listing the w-r-r-r-o-n-g house that’s for sale by Ms. Aguilera. It’s the one on Devlin, not Doheny. Mea culpa. Here are more photos of the luscious place. Thanks to Drut Burton for catching this. (At least someone is reading this.)
Original post — What a rollercoaster ride this house has been on. It’s the same house where The Osbournescrazy reduced price of $6,995,000, according to hard-working Real Estalker. If you look at the street view of this home, there’s even a PODs container out front. Could all of Christina’s makeup be in there? – with heavy metal star Ozzy, wife Sharon and their kids — filmed their MTV-reality show in all of its dysfunctional glory. And, it’s the same house that rock star Christina Aguilera bought from the Osbournes for $11,500,000 in 2007, only to go on the market for a

If you’re walking through Harlem, around 150th and St. Nicholas Place, to be precise, you might stumble upon a large, Romanesque Revival-style house that will certainly catch your eye. According to Christina S.N. Lewis of WSJ’s Private Properties, it was built in 1888 by circus man James Bailey, co-founder of the famous Barnum & Bailey Circus. And, it’s now up for sale for $10 million. Maybe Bill Clinton needs a new office in Harlem?

Included in the same WSJ article as Bailey’s Harlem house is news that billionaire hedge fund manager John Paulson has reduced the price of his home in the Hamptons from $19.5 million down to $13.9 million. John Paulson, who is not related to Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson, is one of the few investors who bet against subprime mortgages and in the process, reaped the rewards in the billions.
Caught up in the Thanksgiving holiday movie gorge-fest, I saw “Australia,” starring its own compatriot Nicole Kidman. So, with Kidman on my mind, I had to search around for her latest real estate exploits. Sure enough, up pops Big Time Listings with their report that this Nashville home was once owned by Nicole and her country music superstar husband, Keith Urban, before they sold it back in November of 2007 for $2,360,000. If you like sweeping cinema, with dazzling scenery of Australia, some beefcake (Hugh Jackman) and an Indiana Jones-type big screen epic complete with heroes and villains, go see it.
