Celebrity Price Reductions: Melissa Joan Hart Re-Lists Studio City Home

Are huge price reductions the magic trick to selling big-name listings? Melissa Joan Hart (a.k.a. “Sabrina Spellman” from the 90’s sitcom Sabrina the Teenage Witch) certainly hopes so. The actress slashed the price by $550,000 on her five-bedroom, Spanish-style house in the Studio City area of Los Angeles, CA, re-listing it for $2,700,000. Located at 14735 Sutton St, Van Nuys, CA 91403, the home has luxury features such as a solar-powered salt water pool, spa, covered patio, maid’s quarters, and a city view.
The Los Angeles Times originally reported the home for sale in October 2008, listed at $3.25 million.

Zillow WAY underprices my home by not including all sales of houses in my neighborhood (one down the street just sold for $700k), by not knowing anything about the huge differences in construction quality in my neighborhood, by not taking views and proximity to the ocean into account, and by using the county’s incorrect square footage. I think a class action lawsuit may be in order.

Zillow doesn’t “price” homes. Sellers price homes. Zillow estimates value. If you’re selling your property based on zillows estimate than you’re an idiot. Sue your parents for forced ignorance; they’re the criminals.
