Residents of an apartment building located at 330 Esplanade Ave in Pacifica, CA, a seaside town about 15 miles south of San Francisco, are being evacuated due to extreme erosion of the cliff it is situated on, according to KGO-TV, San Francisco. The photo above is from our Bird’s Eye View and could be a year or two old, but you can see where the erosion of the cliff began.

Authorities have been monitoring the situation for years and determined that if the cliff erodes to within 12 feet of the building, it would need to be evacuated. Yesterday, a 30-foot chunk of the cliff broke off, leading to the evacuation. Watch this KGO report.

It’s awful to think of the number of people whose properties are suffering due to erosion. Luckily where I live there is no chance of that happening.
