Cute, But Pricey: America’s Most Expensive Small Homes
Whether you call them cottages or bungalows, homes with low square footage are often a reasonably-priced way for buyers to get into the real estate market, and many are happy to trade an eat-in kitchen for a substantial savings.
But when we took a deep look at Zillow’s under-1,000-square-foot listings, we found that small doesn’t always equal cheap. Like their less expensive brethren, these homes are called cozy, intimate and adorable, but thanks to original architecture, exclusive communities and — most of all — spectacular settings, they are the most expensive small homes currently on the market.
