Downsize Me! Going From 1,800 Sq Ft to 154 Sq Ft
By: Diane Tuman, Zillow Content Manager | October 22, 2008
If you have an urge to purge, you will be inspired by a couple in Calistoga, CA, who felt their 1,800 sq ft home was a bit too big and expensive, so they moved into a smaller “house” –which is more like a garden shed or playhouse — that cost them $15,000. CNN reports that their tiny house is on property owned by their daughter, and the utilities are a mere $15 a month. To be sure, macro living is a deliberate act — just look at this guy.

I love this! Great post! This is definitely a trend in my community and something I am preaching (blogging) about to my sphere. “Moving Down” is smart and something that a lot of families are considering, even the Realtor that is typing these comments!!!
