During the last two weeks, Zillow has expanded its mobile line-up to include the only map-based real estate app on Kindle Fire, and a new app for the Android Tablet that uniquely features voice search and a side-by-side home comparison tool. But we’re not stopping there!
When you’re shopping for a home, sometimes searching by city, ZIP code, or even neighborhood isn’t specific enough. Perhaps there is school district, bus line, view, or even street corner where you want to find a home for sale or home for rent. Now, you can draw your own search on Zillow iPhone and iPad apps. Home shoppers can create their own home-search boundaries of any shape and size with the touch of a finger. If you’re torn between two school districts or streets, you can draw multiple boundaries in the same search.
Personalized boundary searches can be saved to your list of saved searches. Home shoppers also can use Zillow’s search filters, such as number of bedrooms, bathrooms, price, and square footage, to further narrow their search within the drawn boundary.
Other recent updates include:
- New search filters: For-sale-by-owner and Zillow Special Offers, a seller-funded incentive for buyers who find their home on Zillow.
- “Show Only”: Home shoppers can restrict a search to show only homes with photos, open houses, homes with Zillow Special Offers or price cuts.
