Dreaming of Sunny Skies in Prescott AZ
By: Mark Eamer, Director, Business Development | March 21, 2007
While enduring Seattle’s 100th straight day of rain — OK, so I’m exaggerating, it was only 29 days, but it sure felt like 100 — I started dreaming about life in a sunnier state. It didn’t take me long to find this 3 bedroom, 2 bath posting in Prescott, Arizona, by John Clark of Red Arrow Real Estate. Check out the gallery photos — I can almost feel the heat from the sun in the last one. To top it all off, this dream home backs onto a golf course and is listing for only $449,000, slightly below Seattle’s Zindex value of $453,000. Now, my next hurdle is to convince my boss that we need a Zillow satellite office on Golf View Lane in Prescott, AZ. What do you say, Spencer?

So, have you been to Prescott? I’m trying to decide where I want to move to once I can get out of Ohio, and at least the map location of Prescott appears to be just what I’m looking for. I’m not sure when I can get down that way for a visit - I was googling Prescott blogs when I hit your posting.

I’m from Prescott and it’s a wonderful, beautiful town with a lot of history. Kind of Mayberry like with a downtown courthouse square. I wish I still lived there. Perfect weather 4 mild seasons. Mile high elevation. Small town feel and nice friendly folks. It’s 10 times bigger than when I lived there. I live in Phoenix now - 85 miles away - and I go every chance I can. I visit my in-laws cabin which is up in Groom Creek. Which is 6 miles South of Prescott in the forest of the Bradshaw Mtns. 1,000 ft higher and 7 degress cooler than Prescott. When it’s 110 here it’s only 85 there. But, does snow quite a bit more than Prescott. The photo of the house you were looking at almost looks like the Prescott Valley area. Not sure. Anyway, hope you find what you’re looking for!
Take care,
Tammy
