Embed Local Housing Data On Your Blog
By: Sara Bonert, Director of Broker Relations | October 9, 2009
A few weeks ago we announced the relaunch of our Local Pages to be richer in local data and easier to customize.
Now we’ve taken it a step further and made it easy to embed this information on your blog or website with the click of an ‘Embed’ button. Watch this video to learn more.

This rocks, Sara! I’m wondering why anyone would need Trend Graphics, Altos Research, or Market Snapshot if they can put this on their site for free!
The “more metrics” area under the “Home Values” tab really expands your options too!
Kudos again, Zillow!

It is great, but I think the need for those other companies is still there. Does the Zillow information go off of actual sold data or zestimates? Those numbers do make a difference. (Side note, I wasn’t able to watch the video so I’m not sure if that is explained.) Also, the ability for somone to subscribe and receive reports helps for lead capture as well as provide relevent information directly to the consumer. I think there is a place for both. That being said, I am a fan and will probably be adding the info to my site this weekend!

Does the Zillow information go off of actual sold data or zestimates? Both.
When we are talking about valuation data, we are using Zestimate (actually we are using Zindexs, which are based off Zestimates). The beauty there is that values are based off of ALL homes in the area, not what is currently on the market or recently sold.
With Sold data, we use it for the various sources that provide it to us.
Thanks for the comment! These charts are great too for people who blog, as you could quickly come up with a number of posts for your local readers!

I would like to hear from someone that has actually posted with this information, what reaction have you gotten?
