Ennis House Takes $5 Million Price Cut
One of Frank Lloyd Wright’s many architectural achievements, the Ennis House, just received a huge price chop of $4,505,000, reports LA Curbed. The Ennis House was originally listed for $15 million last June and is now down to $10,495,000. (This new price has not been updated on Zillow yet. We get this information through a broker feed.)
Located in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles, the Ennis House has its own star power after being the site of movies such as “Blade Runner” and “House on Haunted Hill,” as well as TV shows like “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Twin Peaks.” The Ennis House Foundation — a non-profit — owns the home, but states on its site:
After serious consideration, the Ennis House Foundation has decided to place the Ennis House on the market for sale to a private owner. This decision stems primarily from the fact that the house needs more stewardship at this point than a small nonprofit can sustain.
Key words that jump out are: “… needs more stewardship at this point than a small nonprofit can sustain.” Sounds like a major fixer-upper!
