ERA Listings are Coming to Zillow

The ink on the contract is barely dry but we are proud to announce the first brokerage partner in our upcoming Zillow Listings Feed program: ERA Real Estate, which will add about 80,000 daily for-sale listings to the site. We’ve been talking about this upcoming feature for a while now, and while we’re putting some final touches on the functionality, we’re thrilled to sign a brand as innovative as ERA as our inaugural partner.

Currently, any broker, agent or homeowner can manually post their listings on Zillow - an excellent way for someone with a few listings to immediately start marketing in front of Zillow’s 4+ million monthly visitors for free. But in our talks with agents and brokerages, we’ve heard a resounding request, especially from those with many listings, to automate the process. We heard their requests and soon, listings can be fed directly to us by sending us a daily XML file with all of a brokerage’s listing data, which automatically gets posted to the site. We’re excited to add ERA’s listings, and roll out the functionality for other brokerages in the very near future.

To learn more about the agreement with ERA, check out our press release, and if you’re interested in syndicating your listings to Zillow, visit www.zillowfeeds.com.

Sounds like a great idea to me. Who are the other franchises that have signed agreements? I would guess Coldwell Banker and C-21 since they are under the same ownership?

I’m all for the move to allow syndication of listings. Broad dissemination of MLS listings helps sell homes. Hopefully the NAR will see things the same way.
