Famous Homes Mashup

We’ve discovered a cool new site called Platial that allows people to easily create mashups on maps and share them with others. Once a map has been created, anyone who visits can add to it, creating a shared community map. I started one — it’s a map of famous homes linked to interesting photos and home facts on Zillow. Check out where they filmed TV shows like Six Feet Under and The OC, and movies like Halloween and Batman. Most of these homes were just filmed on the outside, while internal scenes were usually shot in studios. On our Platial map, we provide a link to each home’s Birds Eye View, and from there, you can go deeper to learn more about what these famous homes are like on the inside and find out how much they are worth. If you know where other famous homes are located, go ahead and add them to the map I created and watch it grow.
