Ferndale, WA, House for Sale: $10

About 90 miles north of Seattle, in the city of Ferndale, WA, is a house for sale at 5572 Second Ave, Ferndale, WA, in which the minimum bid is $10. The Craigslist posting shows a mustard-shade brown home that can be all yours, for the right bid. Here’s the catch: You just have to move it! Looks like the city of Ferndale wants the land to build a Boys & Girls Club.
It might sound like a huge bargain, but depending on what shape the house is in, I’m not sure if it’s worth it. Moving a house can cost from $32,000 to $200,000, depending on the size of the house and logistics. Then you have to find land for the house. If this house was located in Detroit, there might be nothing left of it.
Take a look at this video of a house being moved through a tight neighborhood of Seattle. Now, that seems like a house worth saving.
