Former Home of Former Sonic Gary Payton on Market

The Seattle SuperSonics are no more and “The Glove” — star point guard Gary Payton — is no longer playing hoops. But, a glimmer of Payton and the Sonic days still exist! The only catch is — you have to buy a house to enjoy them.

Payton’s former house hit the market recently for $4,750,000 and Seattle brokerage John L. Scott has the listing. Payton’s old home is located in the Somerset neighborhood of Bellevue, WA.

Even though Payton sold the house a few years ago, traces of Payton and the Sonics still appear throughout, including:

Game room called “Payton’s Place” (photo above)
Private basketball court with Payton’s No. 20 painted on it.
A bathroom with Sonics wallpaper.

Added bonus: The seller is offering buyers a basketball autographed by Payton upon closing the sale.

Anybody taking odds that next blog about this property will Read “Former Sonic Basketball Star Home is in Foreclosure” Hate to be negative but all these guys bought because they could and never shopped for the best deal.

Sonics doesn’t exist anymore! How could Payton have this is house? Made me a bit nostalgic sounds cool living in his former home.

I think this house was on MTV cribs. I didn’t care too much for the home. I really liked his Ferrari 360 Spider.

If Gary Payton doesn’t own the home anymore, why is his name being used in a real estate promotion. Shouldn’t there be legal ramifications for this? Someone needs to email Gary about this and Sue the Real Estate Company.

What if the ownership changes 5 times? Will it be the former former former former former home of Gary Payton.Jesus. What if it forecloses? Will his name be mentioned in the foreclosure news. Former NBA star Gary Payton home forecloses. Wow!!!!
