Friday Fun: Save Screech
By: Zillow Team, | June 16, 2006
The actor who played Screech on the early-90’s teen series "Saved by the Bell" claims to be at risk of losing his Wisconsin home via foreclosure, and is asking fans of show to pitch in and help.
Actor Dustin Diamond is selling t-shirts on his Web site, www.getdshirts.com, to raise the $250,000 he says is needed to save his home. For a man in desperate need of cash, his site is fairly slick — with "Save Screech’s House" custom banners for your own site, and a section on Foreclosures complete with Google ads.
With Father’s Day looming, an autographed "Save Screech’s House" tee will set you back just $20.

Hey Screetch,
Maybe you should have invested your earnings a little more wisely instead of pimping T-shirts to save your house. I don’t mean to be unkind, but TV shows starring noodley haired kids with annoying voices went out of style in the 80’s. Since Hollywood doesn’t seem to be calling, I would suggest that you go out and find a JOB. You might be able to afford a house.

You gotta be Shi**in me. You have to advertize T shirts on your buddy’s web page so you won’t lose your house? What a loser. Hey, maybe you can join Danny Partridge, Jan Brady and Eddie Munster on Fear Factor to eat grubs and fish guts on another on of their “Used to be kids on TV” specials. I hear it pays $50,000 to the winner.
