Geller Can Bend Spoons, But Not Terms for Elvis House

By: Diane Tuman, Zillow Content Manager | June 18, 2008

Psychic Uri Geller could bend spoons and other objects with his powerful mind and he tried to bend the terms of an eBay real estate deal, involving Elvis Presley’s first home, ruled U.S. District Judge Jon McCalla. McCalla said, “… the eBay auction was more of an advertising vehicle than a binding sale and, even if it was a contract, Geller and his partners breached it when they altered the closing terms after the sale.”

Geller and some partners attempted to buy Elvis’ first home in 2006 until the sellers sold to Nashville record producer Mike Curb, who bought the house for $1 million, moving Geller to sue. Curb plans to use Elvis’ home at 1034 Audubon Dr, Memphis, TN, as part of a new Mike Curb Music Institute.
