Actress Gwyneth Paltrow and her husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, have reportedly purchased a beach estate modeled after a luxury resort. Property records say the beach house sold for $14 million late last month to the Magical Kingdom Land Trust.

The 1970s 4-bedroom, 3-bath home is on a secluded stretch of Malibu beach and hidden away in mature trees and bushes, with rock walkways wandering through the 1-acre property.

The home offers heated sandstone floors and a chef’s kitchen for Gwyneth, who told epicurious she used to spend some time cooking at the couple’s East Coast beach getaway when they lived in New York.

The couple relocated in 2012 to Los Angeles, buying a designer estate in the Brentwood area.

Their new getaway has a more casual vibe than their city house. It was featured in a Wall Street Journal slideshow when the previous owner, Donald Sher, bought it.  The home incorporates the outdoors in the living space, with patios and a pebble stone pool and a tennis court, gym and yoga studio.
