Happy Birthday, America!

One Seattleite is showing incredible American patriotism by turning one side of their home into a tribute to the American flag. We couldn’t get close enough to see the photos that are contained within the stripes, but nevertheless, you have to love this person’s spirit.

We also wondered what Zestimates were like a year ago, so we looked up the USA Zindex and saw that in July of 2005, the Zindex was $244,000. Essentially, this number indicates that half of the Zestimates in the U.S. were below this number and half the Zestimates were above it. It is the middle point of all of the Zestimates. The USA Zindex for July 2006, is $263,000 — a gain of $19,000, or about 7.8%. Which leaves one to ask, "If I had money in the stock market, would I have done this well?" Maybe, maybe not. But, for anyone who owns a home, chances are you’re doing OK.
